SEBI cuts expense ratios to lower long-term investing costs
Regulator SEBI announced a significant reduction in total expense ratios for mutual fund schemes to improve investor outcomes. For equity funds, the maximum TER was cut to 1.00 percent from 1.25 percent, while non equity schemes saw the cap lowered to 0.80 percent from 1.00 percent. Higher AUM slabs were also reduced by 5 to 15 basis points.
