In December, JioBlackRock Mutual Fund significantly increased  the holdings in around 475 stocks and reduced stakes in about 29, according to Prime Database monthly data. Notable increases were seen in MCX and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd while positions in Paytm were trimmed or exited. These moves highlight active portfolio management and diversification by the fund in the Indian equity market during the month.

Ahead of Budget 2026, mutual fund investors are seeking policy stability, predictable taxation and support for long term debt funds to the boost confidence. Experts expect limited changes to  the equity taxation and measures to incentivise long-term investment. A focus on  the macroeconomic stability and low interest rates could benefit fund flows. Predictable frameworks may help sustain mutual fund participation in markets.
