India’s financialization trend is set to accelerate sharply over the next decade, with mutual fund assets under management projected to exceed INR 300 lakh crore. Industry research indicates that this growth will be driven largely by expanding participation from B30 cities. Alongside this, direct equity ownership is expected to approach INR 250 lakh crore as households increasingly shift savings from physical assets to financial instruments.
