A senior MP has urged the government to act against misuse of Grok to create sexualised AI content, stressing women’s privacy and safety online.
Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has written to the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology urging immediate government intervention over alleged misuse of Grok, an AI chatbot on X, to generate and circulate sexually explicit images of women. The MP highlighted that users are prompting the AI to minimise clothing and produce inappropriate images, which she described as a gross violation of privacy and dignity. Chaturvedi called for stricter safeguards and regulation of AI features to curb harmful misuse and protect women online.
