The BSE Sensex, celebrating its 40th anniversary, has witnessed a dramatic transformation from traditional open outcry trading rings to modern, technology driven markets. At an event marking this milestone, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey highlighted the regulator’s growing use of artificial intelligence tools to strengthen compliance monitoring and market surveillance. SEBI is also developing specialised AI systems to assess the cybersecurity readiness of entities it oversees.
