IndiGo said it will appeal a GST demand linked to foreign supplier compensation, calling the tax order incorrect.
InterGlobe Aviation, which operates IndiGo, disclosed that it received a GST demand related to compensation paid to foreign suppliers in earlier financial periods. The airline stated that the order treats such payments as non-export transactions and is erroneous. IndiGo said it plans to file an appeal and is consulting tax advisors while continuing regular operations.
