Ambuja Cements Ltd has approved the amalgamation of ACC Ltd and Orient Cement Ltd into a single consolidated entity, marking a major restructuring within the Adani Group’s cement portfolio. The move aims to create a pan India cement powerhouse capable of competing more aggressively with market leader UltraTech Cement. Under the approved swap ratios, ACC shareholders will receive 328 Ambuja shares for every 100 ACC shares, while Orient Cement shareholders will get 33 Ambuja shares for every 100 Orient Cement shares.
