HEG quarterly profit jumps 74% as graphite demand strengthens

HEG Limited reported a 74% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹143.3 crore for Q2 FY25-26, up from ₹82.3 crore a year earlier. Revenue increased 23.2% to ₹699.2 crore from ₹567.6 crore, supported by stronger graphite electrode sales and improved capacity utilization. Operating margin expanded on higher export orders and moderation in power costs. The company said demand recovery in the steel sector aided performance. Shares traded steady post-results as investors assessed sustainability of margins through FY26.
