Indian fox nut exporters are facing significant disruption after the United States imposed a 50% tariff on selected Indian goods. According to industry estimates, fox nut exports to the US have declined nearly 40%, even as India’s overall exports to the US grew about 20% in November 2025. The fox nut industry generates roughly ₹3.6 billion annually, with the US accounting for nearly half of export demand.
