Seven of India’s top-10 most valuable companies saw combined market-capitalisation gains of about ₹2.16 lakh crore last week. Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel led the surge, adding ~₹47,364 crore and ~₹41,255 crore respectively in market value. While some firms such as Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys recorded drops, the momentum was driven by banking, telecom and consumer stocks amid favourable global cues and domestic demand.Analysts caution though that valuations are becoming elevated and investor focus may shift to earnings delivery and broader participation.
