Indian equity-oriented mutual funds hit ₹50.
India’s equity-oriented mutual funds crossed an aggregate assets under management (AUM) figure of ₹50.83 lakh crore in October 2025, driven by steady retail SIP flows and digital investment channels. Monthly systematic investment plan (SIP) contributions reached roughly ₹29,361 crore by September, up from around ₹8,500 crore in March 2020. The industry’s share in overall equity ownership climbed to a new high of 10.8%.

Asset management firms noted rising participation from tier-II and III cities, while emphasising that sustaining inflows and maintaining performance amid valuation pressures will be key going forward.
