Avelo Airlines has launched its first international route from Wilmington, North Carolina, offering nonstop service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The twice weekly flights, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays using Boeing 737NG aircraft, mark Wilmington’s only international air connection. Punta Cana becomes Avelo’s third international destination after Cancun and Montego Bay.
