Market data indicates that memecoins are ending 2025 at subdued levels after a sharp reversal from last year’s speculative peak. According to the sector’s market capitalization stood near $35 billion in mid December, marking the lowest point of the year and far below the roughly $100 billion level seen around Christmas 2024. Trading activity also weakened, with annual volume falling about 72 percent to $3.05 trillion.
