High-frequency indicators during this year's festive season show robust sales growth in discretionary segments such as automobiles and household appliances, despite global external pressures and tariffs, according to a report by SBI Mutual Fund. The report noted that GST collections for October were at expected levels and that financing activity remains strong. The improvement in consumption suggests household confidence remains intact even as export headwinds persist. 

The report added that government stimulus and rural wage gains have helped spending, but warned that external trade weakness could weigh on future growth momentum.
