Strong gains in silver prices pushed Hindustan Zinc shares higher as the metal crossed the $72 per ounce mark for the first time. The stock rose about 3.6% to an intraday high of ₹632 on December 24 , tracking record global and domestic silver prices. Silver has surged more than 140% in 2025, supported by rising industrial demand, supply constraints, safe haven buying, and expectations of easier US monetary policy. MCX silver also touched fresh all-time highs, improving earnings outlook for producers with silver exposure .
