Uttar Pradesh positions itself for next phase of AI-led economic growth

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described 2026 as a defining year for the state’s technological and economic transformation, highlighting its ambition to emerge as a global hub for artificial intelligence and the digital economy. In a detailed message shared on social media, Adityanath said 2025 laid the foundation by setting new benchmarks in innovation, data driven governance, and future oriented development. 

Meta has moved to strengthen its artificial intelligence roadmap by announcing plans to acquire Manus AI, a China based startup focused on advanced AI agents and automation technologies. The deal is aimed at accelerating the deployment of next generation AI features across Meta’s consumer and enterprise platforms, as competition intensifies globally. The transaction values Manus at more than $2 billion, although Meta has not officially disclosed the purchase price.
