Pennsylvania electricity rates to rise from Dec 1 after PUC adjustment

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission announced that several state-regulated utilities will increase electricity supply prices starting December 1, 2025. For instance, Duquesne Light will raise rates from 12.43¢ to 13.75¢ per kWh (≈ 10.6% increase), and others like Met-Ed and PPL Corporation will also see price hikes ranging from ~3.7% to ~8.9%. The move follows the PUC’s quarterly supply-price review across utilities statewide.
