HDFC Bank Reports ₹11,750 Crore Profit in Q2, Driven by Retail Lending and Margin Stability
HDFC Bank posted a Q2 FY26 net profit of ₹11,750 crore, up 18 percent year-on-year, supported by steady retail loan growth and stable net interest margins at 4.13 percent. Gross non-performing assets improved to 1.24 percent while total advances expanded by 13 percent, driven by strong SME and mortgage lending. Deposits rose 17 percent to ₹23.9 lakh crore. 

Management highlighted continued balance-sheet resilience and capital adequacy above 18 percent, positioning the bank for sustained performance amid moderating credit growth in FY26.
