OpenAI has brought on Mike Liberatore, previously Chief Financial Officer at xAI, to serve as its business finance officer. He will work alongside CFO Sarah Friar and others to oversee OpenAI’s finance strategy, especially around compute infrastructure and scaling server capacity. Liberatore was involved in xAI’s $5 billion debt and equity deals earlier this year.
