Exxon beats Q3 estimates thanks to high production from Permian and Guyana despite lower oil prices.
Exxon Mobil reported adjusted earnings of US$8.1 billion (US$1.88 per share) for Q3 2025, surpassing consensus estimates of US$1.82 per share. Production rose to ~4.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, including record output in the Permian Basin (~1.7 million boepd) and Guyana (~700,000 boepd). Despite a 13% decline in average Brent crude prices, strong upstream performance and robust cash generation supported the results. Free cash flow declined to US$6.3 billion from US$11.3 billion a year earlier. The company also raised its dividend by 4% to US$1.03 per share for Q4.
