Top MF Update: Equity Investments Jump to ₹43,465 Cr on Strong Inflows
MFs more than doubled equity investments on steady inflows and strong SIP participation, boosting Nifty and Sensex, while FPIs shifted to net selling during the month.
Mutual funds sharply increased their equity investments last month, deploying ₹43,465 crore compared with ₹20,718 crore in October as steady inflows persisted. Apart from two sessions of ₹2,473 crore outflows, MFs remained consistent buyers. This buying support helped lift Sensex by 1,729 points to 85,707 and Nifty by 440 points to 26,203. FPIs, however, turned net sellers at ₹3,765 crore.
