Indian benchmark indices traded largely steady after brief volatility as investors monitored upcoming US inflation readings and domestic CPI data due tomorrow. Traders noted that FII outflows remained moderate compared to earlier sessions, indicating stabilizing sentiment. 

Analysts added that broader market resilience is supported by strong Q2 earnings and sustained retail inflows. With major global data releases ahead, investors maintained cautious positioning across large-cap and mid-cap segments.
