Karnataka cabinet approves ₹518 crore start-up policy for 2025-30
On 6 November 2025, the Karnataka Cabinet approved a five-year “Start-up Policy 2025-2030” with an outlay of ₹518 crore aimed at creating 25,000 new start-ups—including 10,000 outside Bengaluru—and boosting deep-tech sectors such as AI, blockchain and quantum computing. The government said the plan will provide infrastructure hubs, mentorship, and regulatory ease to nurture innovation across the state. With around 18,000 existing start-ups in Karnataka, officials hope the new policy will cement the state’s leadership in India’s venture-ecosystem.
