ACC Ltd more than doubled Q2 profit on price recovery and volume growth in India’s cement sector.
ACC Ltd posted a pre-tax profit of ₹7.57 billion (~US$86 million) for July-September, more than double the same period last year. Revenue rose 28% to ₹58.17 billion helped by a 16% rise in volumes despite the monsoon season. The stronger result reflects a rebound in cement prices and robust demand, even in a seasonally weak quarter. Shares rose as investors welcomed improved earnings fundamentals in the sector.
