The Indian government has approved seven manufacturing projects worth around US$625.8 million (₹55 billion) to expand domestic electronics-components production, including multilayer PCBs, camera modules and laminates, across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The projects are expected to produce components worth ~₹365.6 billion and create over 5,100 direct jobs, aligning with India’s push to reduce import-dependence and strengthen global value-chains.
