MedPlus Health Services, one of India’s leading retail pharmacy chains, posted a 43.3% year-on-year rise in net profit for Q2, driven by expansion into smaller cities and growth in private-label wellness sales. Revenue rose 6.5% to ₹16.79 billion. The company now operates over 4,200 stores and plans to open approximately 600 more by year-end. Analysts say the growth underscores rising consumer health spending beyond mega-cities, though supply-chain inflation and urban competition remain headwinds.
