Hindustan Zinc extends gains as volumes pick up

Buying interest continued in Hindustan Zinc as the stock advanced for a third consecutive session. Shares were trading at Rs 521.85, up 1.79% intraday, supported by strong volumes of 171.34 lakh shares, well above the one month average. The stock has gained 8.29% over the past month, outperforming the Nifty Metal index’s 3.06% rise. Futures prices also reflected strength, with the December contract trading higher at Rs 523.15.
