Equity mutual fund flows rise sharply as SIP performance improves

Equity inflows surged to ₹43,465 crore in November, nearly doubling previous participation and supporting a 1,729 point or 2% rise in the Sensex to 85,707. Debt fund categories registered significant outflows of ₹72,201 crore compared with the prior ₹12,771 crore as investors prioritized growth over fixed income stability. Nearly 40% of mutual funds generated SIP returns above 15%, with another 39% delivering between 10% and 15%, reflecting consistent portfolio resilience.
