ICAI proposes supplying corporate data for India’s sovereign AI plan

India’s Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) is in talks with the Ministry of Electronics & IT to supply financial and economic data of listed companies for the country’s sovereign AI model. The collaboration would support AI initiatives with authoritative datasets drawn from audited corporate numbers. The move is seen as an effort to reduce dependency on foreign models and strengthen domestic AI capabilities rooted in local data compliance and accuracy.
