AI startup Lila Sciences raises $115M, valuation tops $1.3B

Lila Sciences closed an extension of its Series A round with $115 million in new funding, taking its valuation above $1.3 billion. Investors include Nvidia’s venture arm and others. The company builds “AI Science Factories”—robotic labs steered by AI models to run experiments autonomously. Lila plans to scale its lab automation platform and offer enterprise access to clients in sectors like energy, semiconductors, and biotech. It recently leased ~235,500 square feet of lab space in Cambridge.
