Apple is exploring test production of its foldable iPhones in Taiwan while preparing for full-scale manufacturing in India, according to Nikkei Asia. The initiative is part of its strategy to increase shipments by over ten percent in 2026, align with demand for new form factors, and reduce dependence on Chinese manufacturing amid geopolitical tensions. Suppliers are scouting sites in northern Taiwan for the pilot line, ahead of a bigger roll-out in India.
