Nvidia Acquires Enfabrica's Technology and Leadership in $900M Deal

Nvidia has invested over $900 million to hire Enfabrica CEO Rochan Sankar and license the startup's technology. Enfabrica specializes in efficiently networking tens of thousands of AI chips to function as a unified computing unit. This strategic acquisition aims to enhance Nvidia's capabilities in large-scale AI deployments. The deal includes both cash and stock components, with the transaction finalized last week. Enfabrica, founded by former Broadcom and Alphabet employees, has secured $260 million in venture funding and launched a chip-and-software system designed to reduce memory chip costs in AI data centers.
